A 40-hour course required by the State of Michigan for everyone who wants to become a real estate salesperson. Daytime and evening & Saturday classes are available throughout the year. There is a midterm and final exam. Graduates of this course are eligible to take the state exam. You do not have to join Real Estate One to take prelicensing. Graduates can take this course and then join any brokerage in Michigan (upon successfully completing the state exam).


If you join any of the Real Estate One Family of Companies (Real Estate One, Johnstone & Johnstone, and Max Broock), you are eligible to attend specialized sales training The Pathways class prepares you for real estate sales from A-Z. Graduates of this course know how to meet with prospective purchasers, sellers and lenders as well as how to write/present offers. This course launches the graduate into production with knowledge, skills, and sales techniques. It is equivalent to approximately 2-3 years of real estate experience.

Continuing Education

The State of Michigan requires 18 hours of continuing education every 3 years for all licensed sales agents. Whether you are a member of the Real Estate One Family of Companies or another broker, our con-ed classes are for everyone!

Computer Classes

The Real Estate One Academy, in association with the Real Estate One Family of Companies’ I.T. Department offers training and resources designed to meet the technological needs of their real estate sales associates. The I.T. department offers a monthly series of live online Webinars covering a variety of topics including; agent personal websites (WebOne), Online Listing Management, Digital Photography, Social Networking and more.
